BULLETIN NOTES

Thanks to Sara Miller for reading scripture this morning.

A Birthday Celebration for those with September birthdays will follow worship. We are honoring Mary Murphy and Beulah Erickson. Come and help them celebrate!

The Adult Sunday School Class meets at 11:15. All adults are welcome and encouraged to attend.

Thanks to Larry Lange for his work in choosing the right copy machine for Roundy. Thanks to Bruce Erickson and Roy Ollerman for shampooing the carpets in the secretary's office and in the parlor. We are most grateful to these men for their unselfish service.

Thank you for your contribution to Cents for Seniors. Roundy collected $38.93 for Shoreline Interfaith..

Grocery Shoppers! If you shop at Pick 'n Save, you can help Shoreline Interfaith each time you use your "advantage" card. You can register Shoreline's number 714600 at the service counter, and then every time you shop, Shoreline Interfaith will get a percentage of your tape total. Take the time to make a difference!

Living the Questions On Wednesday nights, Roundy is studying this progressive discussion of faith and theological issues. As mentioned earlier, if there is interest in a day-time discussion group, please contact the pastor and make your interest known. This is a weekly study and the time set will be at the convenience of those interested.

Choir rehearsal will begin again on Wednesday at 7:50 p.m. There will also be a rehearsal Sunday morning at 9:30, before worship. ALL are welcome!

Central Seminary Next Sunday, September 14, we will collect a special offering for the Central Seminary extension that meets at the Region Office in Elm Grove. The WI Ministers Council is supporting this offering as an enthusiastic affirmation of the training being offered to Wisconsinites who are training for ministry.

Tudor Oaks Roundy will lead in worship at Tudor Oaks next Sunday, September 14. We will stop for lunch before going. If you are interested in going with the group from Roundy, please contact Jo Ellen or Wilanna to make your intent known. It is always good to go and to visit with Marie Stringer.

The CROP WALK will be held Sunday, October 12, beginning at 1:30. If you are able to walk and to raise money for the hungry in Milwaukee, please see Chris Leitner. If you cannot walk and would like to make a contribution, please do so to one of the walkers. Also, begin purchasing food to donate to The Hunger Task Force - a tangible way to help the hungry in our Milwaukee neighborhoods. We will begin collecting these non-perishable foods on Sunday, September 28.

The Wisconsin Region Annual Meeting will be held at Green Lake Conference Center on October 10 & 11. Jo Ellen has a room reservation and would be delighted to share the room with a female parishioner. She will go on the 10th and return the night of the 11th. Please consider attending.

If you would like to contribute flowers for the sanctuary, please see Mary Doro.

My Dear Church Family,

I was greatly moved by the anniversary celebration you surprised me with last Sunday. Thank you for your love and generosity!

The time with the children and the reception were wonderful! The gifts of flowers, Schwartz Book Shop gift card, Starbucks gift card, cash, and especially the beautiful silver book mark with "5 Years at Roundy" engraved on it will always be remembered. I am blessed - and I know it!

Love,
Jo Ellen
